The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art for Sony E is a standard wide-angle designed for Sony’s full-frame mirrorless cameras, but it’s also compatible with crop-sensors at a 52.5mm equivalent focal length. As a part of Sigma’s Art Line, this lens is designed to bring out artistic elements in your photography and videography. This model sports an algorithm tailored to the newest Sony E-mount cameras. It provides meticulous focus in contrast-autofocus-only cameras, compatibility with in-camera image stabilization, and is data-loaded, giving you in-camera control over aberrations.

Thirteen lens elements are broken into 11 groups. Two aspherical elements, four Super Low Dispersion elements, and one F Low Dispersion element, all work together with Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating to eliminate distortion, spherical aberrations, fringing, ghosting, and flare. No matter what the conditions, you’ll get images that are clear, color-correct, and high-contrast from edge to edge.

Autofocus is quick, quiet, and precise thanks to the combination of Sigma’s Hyper Sonic Motor and large focus ring, which provides full-time manual focus with a simple rotation. The f/1.4 maximum aperture not only performs in low light conditions, but it also creates incredible bokeh, enhancing your selective focus and shallow depth of field techniques.

The body of the lens is made from Thermally Stable Composite material, which allows for excellent performance through a range of temperatures. A brass bayonet mount is durable and also rubber-sealed, which renders the mount dust-and water-resistant. The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art for Sony E has a minimum focusing distance of 11.81 inches, a 1:5.2 magnification ratio, and a 63.4° angle of view. It’s compatible with 67mm filters.
