This lens is a part of Sigma’s Sports Line and is optimized for movement photography. Whether you shoot wildlife, sports, or high-action scenes — all will benefit from this versatile telephoto zoom. Designed for full-frame cameras, it’s also compatible with crop-sensors, where the focal range becomes 192–480mm. A nine-blade f/2.8 maximum aperture makes this lens a high performer in ambient light and provides exceptional bokeh during shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.

The Sigma Sports Line is known for its optics and cutting edge technology. This lens is constructed from 23 elements divided into 18 groups. With two F Low Dispersion elements and one Special Low Dispersion element, chromatic aberrations and color fringing are things of the past. When combined with Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating, which coats each lens element, lens flare and ghosting virtually disappear, even in the brightest light or backlight. Images are clear, color-correct, and high-contrast from edge to edge.

The accuracy of this lens is only exceeded by its speed. Sigma’s

Hyper Sonic Motor, rear focus system, and Canon-optimized algorithm make focusing as smooth as it is fast and precise. Full-time manual focus is available with a turn of the focus ring. Sigma’s Optical Stabilizer system reduces camera shake when shooting handheld and at slow shutter speeds.

A rugged construction rounds out this lens. Made from a thermally-stable composite, it’s highly adaptable to a variety of temperatures. A brass bayonet secures the lens to your camera, while a removable and rotating tripod collar allows for vertical and horizontal shooting when paired with a tripod or monopod.

The Sigma 120–300mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports for Canon is compatible with Sigma TC-1401 1.4x and TC-2001 2x teleconverters, 105mm front filters, and Sigma’s USB Dock, which allows you to set lens characteristics and update the firmware. It offers a 20.4° to 8.2° angle of view, 0.12x maximum magnification, and a macro reproduction ratio of 1:8.1.
